ABOUT MCKENZIE

Hey, I’m McKenzie — the face behind Kenz Camera Lenz! I’m a 25-year-old self-taught photographer based in Amarillo, Texas, with deep roots in nearby Canyon, where I was born and raised. I’ve always had a love for art, live music, and creativity, and photography has become my favorite way to bring all of that to life. Whether I’m capturing candid laughs, intimate moments, or golden hour portraits, my goal is to create images that feel as real and vibrant as the people in them.
 

I graduated from West Texas A&M University in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Science. Alongside photography, I work part-time as a bartender at Crush Wine Bar downtown, which keeps me connected to the community and sharpens my people skills. I’m also preparing to apply to law school in 2026 — so life’s a bit of a wild (but exciting) ride! When I’m not behind the camera or mixing drinks, you’ll find me spending time outdoors, hanging out with my family and friends, or relaxing with my labradoodle, Ozzy.

Though I’m based in Amarillo, I’m passionate about creating a photography experience where you feel confident and comfortable. I’m all about hyping you up, thinking outside the box. I’m always up for an adventure and love traveling for shoots. My sessions are about keeping things relaxed, creative, and fun — making sure you walk away with images and memories you’ll truly value.
